Urban Outfitters Can Suck It! →
So not cool! imakeshinythings: One of my lovely customers sent me a message today with this link. And here is my United/World of Love line: My heart sank a little bit. The World/United States of Love line that I created is one of the reasons that I was able to quit my full-time job. They even stole the…

Pop-Up Video Is Coming Back to VH1 | Vulture →
Dude, I’m SO excited. I’m totally going to sing the “Pop-Up Video” theme song for the rest of the morning! Pop-Up Video is returning to the VH1 lineup this fall, with 60 new episodes that will “remain faithful” to the original. This new version will include rap and hip-hop videos, which its predecessor did not, but that doesn’t offset the fact that music videos are no...

“Smash” looks amazing. Amazing. As Variety says, this could be Katharine McPhee’s Jennifer Hudson moment. McPhee remains, in my opinion, one of the most talented contestant’s in “Idol” history. On Osama Bin Laden’s Death | Common Dreams →
This essay by Chris Hedges is absolutely brilliant. It’s so well written and as Lauren said, “chilling.” To quote what I just said in chat with her: The sad thing is, he’ll be criticized and picked apart as some sort of terrorist sympathizer because as a culture we like to live in sound bytes; and nuance is non-existant; and everything is black and white. Skype for Mac Has Unpatched Security Flaw [ALERT] →
“We are aware of this and will release a fix early next week to resolve the issue. We take our users privacy very seriously and are working quickly to protect Skype users from this vulnerability.” Excuse me if I have a hard time believing Skype. As a Mac OS X user, I’m hardly satisfied with this response. In what universe does waiting more than a month before applying a hot fix...
