So I’ve been really anxious about dealing with Apple Care regarding my dying MacBook hard drive. My past life as a PC tech has left me wary and unexcited about dealing with tech support. Plus, I find the Apple Store “geniuses” to be subpar at best.
So I called today, after finally reached my breaking point with a dying drive and without any fuss, Apple is sending me a DIY replacement kit.
That’s just awesome. No dealing with a long in-store repair for something that will take me 5 minutes.
Moral: Apple Care is worth it on Macs, if only for the frustration removal factor.
